Please help with these SES codes, im lost.

I got my car scanned and it came up with 3 SES codes, 1) CODE 48- Mass Air Flow Failure, 2)Code 83-Torque converter and module, 3) Code 16- Low Resolution Pulse Failure.

I have an idea why the CODE 16 came up, probably because my car has Accel 30 pounders in it, if that is the case should i get them tooken out and replaced with stock injectors or is it better to retune the computer for it? Im not looking to upgrade the whole fuel system, and its a daily driver.
The guy that scanned my car said he thinks the MAF code is because i have a larger intake elbow, and he said if i bought a granatelli it would correct the problem because of the granatelli's larger diameter. Is this true, or not? Either way i replaced the MAF sensor like 5 months ago, when it crapped out. Code 83 i have no clue about though.
Any help would be great fully appreciated, since i have no clue.

A code 16 is for the circuit that sends the low resolution signal back from the opti to the PCM. The size of your injectors will not have an impact on this DTC. You should use the standard size injectors however since you have no engine work that could take advantage of the larger injectors. Also, it is unlikely that this code is an active one since it will shut down the fuel pump and injectors. It is probably a memory code. Clear all codes and check for reoccurance. Check also, the 4 wire connector at the opti and the other end about 2 feet from it for corrosion or bent or broken pins. The end at the opti will require patience to get to.

Don't replace the MAF with an aftermarket unit and don't modify the OEM unit. Don't descreen it either. The screen straightens the flow of air so the unit can measure the flow of air more accurately and without it, turbulence can decrease it's effectiveness. Do however, clean it and if you have it, don't oil a cotton filter too much.

Your codes are unrelated to a common voltage source, however they are common to the PCM. In that, they are all circuits monitored by the PCM. The next thing to do is be sure all the grounds are clean, shiney and tight. Obviously the ground near the positive cluster is important as are the ones at the frame and the engine. A common ground point for the PCM and the MAF is located above the starter. If the codes then return, check the following.

Once that is done, I suggest you check the maf for the correct voltage and reference signal. With KOEO, measure to be sure you have 12volts between the pink wire and the black wire w/white stripe. Then measure from ground to the yellow wire on the maf and see that you have 4 to 6 volts. Then measure from ground to the pink wire and be sure it is 12volts.

Make one last measurement for S@#$'s and grins. Set your meter to AC. Measure from the negative battery terminal to the large ouput post of the alternator with the engine running. Should be .03 or less.

Let us know how you make out.
