Please Help with opti install Quick!

I have a 94 z28 and am going to put a new opti on just one question, when I take the old one off how do I know that the new one is going to go on in the same relation so timing is right? Is the dowel off of the engine keyed? or does it have a notch or anything to make sure it all gets linedup? Thanks Robert

Your 1994 opti has a splined and keyed shaft. Look at it carefully and line it back up correctly. The new opti must fit flush to the block mounting holes by hand. There have been people that have forced it on wrong. Use common sense and you should be ok.

Yea just look at it closly and you'll see which way it needs to go on. As long as you dont have to force it you should be good. There is only one way that it will "want" to go on.
