ok when i start my car for the first time of the day it starts up just fine but every other time i start it up i have to hold the pedal to the floor to start it. i have no idea what is causing this. Also my car will nhot idle with the a/c on. whne u are stopped with out the a/c on it idles rough but it will do it but when u turn the a/c on it surges very bad. If you could please give me any ideas what is causing this it would help. i have replaced the EGR and the opti.

 

Usually means that you are flooding the engine with gas.....by pressing the gas pedal to the floor upon start up, the pcm goes into clear flood mode, and that is why is starts. You can not hold idle, because you are pushing in too much gas for what it needs.

idle quality, gas mileague, power will suffer. Have you noticed these?

You either have
1 leaking injector/s
2 leaking diaphragm
3 leaking fuel pressure regulator
