So I was driving yesterday and I thought my tranny was slipping but my car only has 61k and doesnt make that much power to break a tranny, its a a4. And i took it out today and on my way the car hesistate to accelerate like the tranny was slipping but I have been hearing a rattle from my catalytic converter. So on my way home i had to go up a hill and the car wouldnt take it I had to drive it up the hill at like 5mph. when i finally got it home my exhaust manifolds were glowing red because they were so hot. Is my problem a clogged cat?

 

possibly, does it looked banged up like from hitting it on speed bumps or anything? take it to an exhaust shop and have em check it out

 

Disconnect the pipes BEFORE the cat and have a ride. Take ear plugs and see if the power comes back.
