PLEASE Help!! Heads&Cam&Tune Runs like CRAP

I hope someone can help..... I've got a 94 that I just put a cam in.. A CC305
w/ 1.6 rockers LE1 heads & intake, 52mm tbody, Granatelli MAF, Mac mids, no cats and I just had the tune done by MadZ (all emissions turned off).. The car runs like ****! It sputters and pops from 1500 to aprx 3000 rpms under load and has no power at all and it's runnin rich
I tried to use one of those crappy little scan tools but the check e light wont come on when it's plugged in. the code 12 won't even come up. But the light is on right after start up... What the hell is goin on w/ this thing??? I don't have a lot of cash to throw at it right now but, I need my only car to run!
I do know its not the tps cuz I checked it w/ the ohm meter ad it's all in range ..... Any suggestions???? Thanx

The scan tool for a 3rd gen won't work on a 94. If you have a laptop and cable, download Freescan and you will be able to get the codes. Otherwise, you'' need to get a scan tool that can read the 94 computer. I have an AutoXray that I bought at Kragen (you have to have deep pockets as this one was $200). The computer is OBD1 but acts like an OBD2. Jumping the pins like the cheap scan tools do will not work.
Once you get the codes, you will be able to get a better idea of what you need to look at.

Autozone scans codes for free if you have one around you, and most other autoparts stores would do the same probably. In the meantime, go around and make sure everything is plugged in, it's easy to leave a sensor unplugged when you're putting it all back together again.
