OK somebody, please help me. All the sudden my car is slipping in every gear like a bad clutch but its an automatic. Im thinking bad convertor, maybe getting loose ar coming apart. I was thinking of a mid west convertor, anybody have one and can tell me good or bad. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what will make 1, 2, 3, od and reverse slip like a bad clutch.

appreciate the info man, but my question is, how can every gear in the tranny go bad at once. That would be bizzare, i could see if it was 1 or 2 gears slipping, but for all to work fine then slip seems wierd, any other info is greatly appreciated

 

cause its not as simple as a manual tranny, theres more to it than just gears. You probably smoked your 2/4 band and sprag. if you need any advice in pulling it out, i can walk you through it (in my freekin sleep, lol). so let me know with an email. hope i can help, and borrow plenty of extensions, prorac1

Sounds like your tranny went, I know it sucks but thems the breaks. If it makes decent power and you beat on it AND it has overdrive, just plan on a rebuild sooner or later. (sooner)
