Please Help

About two weeks ago I noticed a slight miss under light acceleration. I pulled it all apart and found #6 plug wire melted to the header. Installed a new set of wires and made sure the wires were not touching headers. I still have the miss. Do you think do to the burnt wire could it of damages opti causing the miss? Any input would be very helpfull. Car has 36000 miles on it.

Did you check the plug? Maybe could have fouled the plug.

If you can get the car scanned with a unit that has "GM enhanced parameters", they can actully call up the misfire count for each individual cylinder. That should point you in the correct direction. When it misfires, does the SES light flash?

Pulled outplug and it looked good so I cleaned and reinstalled. I have a Snap on scanner and it tells me it is cyl #6. The same cyl with the burnt plug wire.
