Please Help!!!

Ok I just bought another TA. This ont is a 93 Ram Air car. The car runs super good except when it's under a load it kinda spits and sputters at about half throttle..? When I get on it it will spit a little and if I keep in it it will clear up and go. I can rev it as far as I want when it is park and it revs nice and smooth... I replaced the plugs toady and noticed that only the pass side 4 were black like it is running rich. But the drivers side looked just fone not black at all.?? Why would it be acting like this? Thanks for your help

I don't know much about the 93's but it sounds like one side has an exhaust leak or possibly one of the O2 sensors (based on a 94) may be getting ready to go.

I had a problem like this years ago and it was the O2 wires had melted to the header on the passenger side and it was blowing the MAF fuse.

93's are basically the same as the rest. I would check for an exhaust leak, burnt wiring, or a bad O2.

That doesn't mean its an O2 sensor problem. May be an exhaust leak, a wiring problem, excessive misfires on one side. All of those would cause it to run rich on one side. All you have done is eliminated the ECM's ability to adjust to correct the A/F ratio. Find the problem.

If it was excessive misfires on one side it would run like **** right? It runs strong , and it dont spit and sputter like it did before I unpluged the o2's

If you're happy with the O2 sensors unplugged, leave them unplugged.

Defiantly check for an exhaust leak before the sensors, and immediately ( 10" or so ) after. Inspect the wiring going to and from the sensor, clean the pigtail with contact cleaner, and check the harness above the pigtail. If all that checks out OK, I would probably buy a new sensor, and try it. Just be careful/clean installing it. If it dont fix it, you can always clean it, put it in the box, and attept to return it saying its the wrong part or something lol.
