Please Help!!!

hey I have a 96 ss camaro with loudmouth exhaust on there...I am really thinking about gutting my cats but my question is how do i exactly do that...A bunch of my friends gutted the cats off of a ls1 camaro and it just bolts right off but how would i go about gutting mine ....

stick a tire iron or crow bar in that cat and go to town...bash everything up (make sure to get pieces out of cat though) or just delete it...

how do i get the cat off???? mine look like they are welded on

ya it prolly is..mine is a aftermarket supercat that bolts on...so it suxs to say i think you gotts to weld that beeeoutch off. (why dont you just take it off and put a cutout in its place<--just an idea (then you gotta put it back on if you have emissions.)

I took a hack saw and cut it off the stock Y pipe. Knocked everything out of it. Then put 2 1/2 inch pipe throught the middle and then welded it in place. If you are careful you can use the same stock set up to bolt it to the intermediate pipe, if you re-weld the gutted cat back to the stock Y.
