sounds like you may have a leak after the MAF and before the TB. Check the elbow and make sure you have it on correctly. Does it do it in neutral?

sounds like a vacum leak to me... check all your vacum hoses at your throttle body and on your intake...

...and a stuck open EGR valve is like a big vacuum leak. Check it, too.

I am not sure if it does it in nuetral. I havent driven it since this morning, because I am afraid I wont make it back home. I am pretty sure the elbow is one correct. I ran my finger underneath it to make sure it was on and not bent or anything. I took it in like two weeks ago and i had them check for codes and I got a code 048 which they said was a maf code. The engine runs to smoothly for the maf to be bad. It runs like a brand new engine, other than the constant dying. I am unsure of the vacuum tubes you are talking about, and what should I be looking for. Thanks, Michael

Very true. A friend of mine has a faulty EGR that is progressively getting worse. His car feels like it wants to die under part throttle and at idle. Definitely likely...
