Plastic LT1 fuel lines

My 97 fell victim to a critter gnawing a small hole in my fuel line right below the driver side rocker. They chewed the nylon tubing. I can't find the OEM lines available anywhere, so what options do I have. Is there a way to splice these reliably? Anyone know what size these lines are if I can? There's a few lines running there, but it looks like only one got damaged. Thanks.

Re: Plastic LT1 fuel lines

Shoebox has the part number for the 3-line bundle. Is that what you are unable to find? Thought it was still available, maybe 6 months ago.

10258441

Supply line is 3/8", return line is 5/16". Not sure about the EVAP purge line.

There are compression fittings that attach to the metal lines under the rocker and at the rails, so you can use braided SS lines. I believe I've also seen a thread somewhere here that someone had a shop make new lines using high pressure fuel hose. Note however that NHRA limits the length of rubber fuel hose in the system, if you run at an NHRA track.

Re: Plastic LT1 fuel lines

Thanks for the reply Fred. I did find the part number on Shoebox's page, but everywhere I try to find it, it comes up discontinued.

Re: Plastic LT1 fuel lines

Did you try these:

#10258441: PIPE. Fuel Line

Buy GM 10258441 Pipe, genuine OEM part

If you call Nalley and they don't have the part (shows discontinued), they may be able to do a search to find a dealer that still has it in stock.

PIPE. Fuel Line for Chevrolet Camaro (1994 - 1997). #10258441
