Pistons

I will soon be doing some slight engine work on my car (cam, etc...) I have plans on putting nitrous on my car maybe a 100-150 shot.I was wondering if while I am working on the engine should I replace the pistons and rings, with some forged pistons and total seal rings? What can an lt1 handle nitrous wise?

Forged pistons will raise the safety factor. I spray 150-175 on my stock shortblock. It pulls almost 126 mph traps without issues. (so far ) I see most people not having problems with up to a 150 shot on a stock bottom-end motor. Just make sure you have a good tune and enough fuel.

How much safer would I be with forged pistons? O=I am caught in between doing pistons, gears, or torque converter.

It will make your car alot safer if your car is tuned properly for nitrous. If not it will get damaged just like a stock piston. I would recommend against Total Seal if your car is a daily driver. There seems to be alot of oil consumption problems with these rings.
