piston to valve clearance question
will i have an issue with piston to valve clearance with this setup ? 95 4 bolt main lt1 3.875 stroke 5.85 rods and srp 14cc .030 over pistons . .039 head gasket tpis afr heads and there zzx .595 intake 595 exhaust lift. has any body done anything like this ? also if i need to check for this what is the best way to do so with the light spring method or clay . thanks for all your help. any guess on how much power this set up will make ? thanks again.
Re: piston to valve clearance question
Clay method is the best if done right. .080/.100 I/E would be my minimum. If the block is together ya can get cutters from ISKY to recut the pistons in the block.
Not enough info for guess on HP.

Re: piston to valve clearance question
It should be ok, but you NEED to check. Clay is the easy way to do it, I think dial indicator is the "right way". Either one gets the job done.
Dont forget that the cam will hit right before or right after overlap period. I would check every couple º from -15º to +15º TDC
