Pipe bending

I had a guy that was going to bend my exhaust for me but he bailed. Is it unheard of for an exhaust shop to bend my pipe and let me install it myself? I really want to do it myself but need a pipe bender.

I doubt that they will let you install it there due to insurance but I have had places bend me up pipe and I took it home and installed it myself. Actually I went to one place and paid for the pipe but they bent it for free!

but the problem being that they will not know exactly how angles and lengths to use unless they had the car there while they are doing it. so even if they did bend something fo your, you might get home and find it don;t fit

I intend on doing it in my driveway not using their hoists. I have flexible exhaust pipe that holds its form very well, I can bend it how I want and take it to the shop, any idiot can make it look the same, in my opinion.

How much did they charge you for the pipe?
