Pinging - stumble on part acceleration and idle\ SOLVED!
I had some work done cam/heads/headers etc and had the above problem.
The motor has 123k miles when the above was done.
Compression average 155psi across the cylinders and the car ran very well beating newer Lt1s on the road and one Ls1 a few times from traffic light to traffic light...so its safe to assume the mechanicals where in good enough shape to take on some mods.
The problem was when I changed the timing chain, I didn't swap out the gears. What a mistake, soon as I tore back into her and swapped in the new gears...all the above mention problems GONE!.
She runs very good (no times yet) as I spanked a LS1 Vette a couple of nights ago and an LT1 vette last night.
