Pin length on camshaft

I just picked up a gm846 cam for my 94 (used) but I'm concerned about the lenght of the distributor pin. Is there a difference between the pin for the vented optis and the non-vented? If so, what can be done to ensure I get the correct length for my cam?

Just make sure that you measure your old one and then measure the new one and make sure they are the same. Some people on here can give you the specs, I wanna guess .675, But I wouldnt hold me to that until someone else chimes in, that is a guess only!

If you are still using the non-vented 94 opti, then I don't think you need to worry about the pin length. Even if it is longer, I don't think it will interfere with anything. Plus if you happen to want to convert to a vented opti later, you will already have a long pin.
