pilot bushing/bearing?

I am using a motor that had a t56 on it before and am installing a 4l60 on it. I got an sfi approved flexplate.. just want to be sure I am not installing it backwards.. how can I tell?

Also do I need to remove the old pilot bushing/bearing to install the auto?

Thanks,

Aram

i went and looked at it and i think i can just leave it there because it doesn't interfere with anything. Also I think the flywheel is in fine because I bumped the starter and the motor turned over fine.
