Pillar Gauge Pods

Why does no one make a full pillar pod for 93-96 F-cars?? It's either the dinky little 3M tape on unit or nothing. 97+ gets them. I just think it would be nice to have a full pillar dual or triple pod for the hardtop guys that replaces the stock piece. Anyone else have any info or thoughts???

The alternative is to simply "graft" a pod onto your stock pillar. You can work wonders with a little epoxy and some Bondo....

Up close and personal.....

Under construction....

Holes cut in back for instrument leads

Another installed photo - old... still had the radio and stock steering wheel

I picked up the AuotMeter 2-gauge pod. Used a 2-part epoxy to bond it to the stock A-pillar. Filled the side edges and smoothed them into the stock pillar with Bondo filler. Just "filled" the openings on the "end" of the pod, didn't try and taper them into the stock pillar... I've seen that and I think it looks better with the "edge" visible, but filled. Painted the whole thing with "graphite" vinyl/plastic paint from The Eastwood Company.... about a 95% match to the stock 94 "graphite" interior. Also used the paint on the "radio delete' plate.

Well, we tried to get some full pillars produced for our cars and had a massive thread of potential buyers but the deal fell through. The potential distributor (advertising vendor of this site) is supposed to still be looking into it, but I'd consider it dead for the time being. Hopefully someone will step up soon.

That's NOT the look I'm going for. Injuneer hit the nail on the head, I want something blended, almost factory looking. Yours does look good though, don't get me wrong.

Yea, I wanted a factory look too, but I just went with the gauge pod, I love what he did with his gauges.
