Pics of Radiator Mount Delteq?

Anybody have any pictures you could post of how you routed the plug wires from the coil pack through the accessory drive on the passenger side? Doesnt look like there is much room on that side.

Re: Pics of Radiator Mount Delteq?

There is tons of move.

I dont have any pics. But the kit provides nice and long wires. Which gives you the slack to run the wires easily. I routed them my own way.Like I said there is lots of room with the wires they provide.

Basicly if our engine bay wasnt so cramped the install would take less then a hour. The only thing that took up a large amount of time, was removing the old wires, and then routing the new ones to the plug it self. And after doing the install I have found that it is much simpler to do plugs and wires from under the car. Especially with long tunes (unless your running an over the valve cover setup).

Mounting the packs to the radiator shroud was easy. You only remove 3 screws. 2 screws from the passanger side fan, and 1 from the driver side fan. You slip the delteq system between the fan and the shroud, and then put the screws back in.

Good luck man.

Re: Pics of Radiator Mount Delteq?

is it just me or does that radiator mount setup look dangerously close to all kinds of mishaps? Like debri from under the car..a slight frontal accident..it also makes it look very congested and requires moving the Delteq just to maintinence the stuff infront of the engine?..I dont really trust anything to be that close to the circulating fans..IMO..Maybe I just didnt see it correctly from the pics. I Do really like that car though, nice Injuneer
This is the setup that eliminates the use of the coil and cap and rotor of the Opti right?

Just for the record... my setup is not a Delteq install. Its 8 LS1 coils, driven by a MoTeC M48Pro ECU and IEX 8-channel ignition driver.

If you happen to own a MoTeC ECU, its probably in the same price range as the Delteq or the LTCC for the IEX driver and the coils. But the MoTeC "starts" at $3,500 new (I got mine used for about 1/2-price), and adds a lot more if you want closed loop/wideband, digital dash, traction control, etc.

You could also add another $3,000 for the MoMo steering wheel with integral mini-dash panel...... there is no limit with MoTeC.

What do I do for a living.... I'm an injuneer.

The MoTeC is just another way to manage an engine, like the Accel/DFI or a FAST. It makes a nitrous motor very easy to set up and tune. No need for external gadgets like WOT switches, retard boxes, window switches, etc. My original setup was a 500HP NA engine that would pass NJ rolling emissions, and running 275HP of dry nitrous in 2 stages.... a 125-shot for the street and another 150HP for the track.... all controlled by the MoTeC. My friend used the same setup in his 1,125HP 30th SS convertible.... 9.04@155mph in a 3,900# car. Still using it at the 1,325HP level, although is no longer an LT1, but a Gen 1 SBC. - 8.6@160+ MPH.
