Pics of my vacuum canister setup.
Just the cheap $45 Comp Cams can from Summit. Mounted down below the coil to the drivers side frame
This shot is looking down from above. Radiator towards the bottom, motor towards the top.

Looking down, Radiator to the left, motor to the right.

Looking up from the floor, swaybar is under the can. You can barely see the bracket I took all of 3 minutes to fab to mount it.

Looking up from the floor. You can see the bracket very well in this picture.

Looking from the passenger side towards the driver side framerail

Hose routing. From intake manifold to can and one from the can to the brake booster.

Hose routing #2. The line coming in from the top is from the intake manifold, the line coming straight up off the top of the can goes to the brake booster.

Any questions feel free to ask, hopes this helps some people.

Re: Pics of my vacuum canister setup.
Fixed one of the dead links. Regarding the bracket, I used a bolt on the frame that is right next to where the ground from the coil harness runs.
Re: Pics of my vacuum canister setup.
Always had issues with bleeding them, switching from a 224/230 to a Bauer custom grind just amplified my problem. Cam isn't that big I'm just trying to make up for the fact that the fronts won't bleed for shiat. Gonna buy LS1 fronts soon and all will be well.

Before I swapped cams I was running the 224/230 and brakes were fine. After switching to Bret's cam which is 23x/23x on a tight lsa it really brought my already bad brakes into the foreground. Wasn't really a problem except coming to a stop down hills, etc. Vacuum can helped out quite a bit, still need to either bleed the brakes fully or just go ahead and upgrade to ls1 brakes. Once you've driven an LS1 car you'll realize how puny our brakes really are.
Like TransAm said it's only really at idle that there was a braking problem.
I'm really pleased with it. Easy to mount and plumb and helped braking out greatly.

Re: Pics of my vacuum canister setup.
haha I finally did. I've had the damn headers off probably 6 times and this past time that bolt didn't wanna go back in, tried about 5 different bolts before I dremeled one in half and cleaned the threads up and stuck it in there.

Hey look at that, just what I needed Loadre, thanks for this post.
My cam doesn't sound too far off from yours, and my brakes are needing some help after switching out from the 224/230. Looks like I know what I'm picking up.
