A couple of 'things'. One, that hasn't stopped hundreds? of pics, on any number of forum sites, of competitor's port work from being displayed in the past, and two, I didn't see anything of real importance shown with those pics/views anyway.

Even with Lloyd's description, how many really understand how to do (correctly), what he stated anyway?

Heck if hes confortable with it than thats it..

I wouldn't like people posting pictures of my VE tables, thats all. People can buy one of my chips and copy it also, there nothing keeping anyone doing anything like that anymore.

The day I wrote this I was earlier at a engine part supply house in Charlotte, NC full of RIP OFF edelbrock heads/intakes and AFR heads and from China and Australia. We are talking $500 intakes for $250 and bare heads that usually go for over $500 a piece for $255. Its such a problem that Mr. Edelbrock himself was on TV trying to point out the differences in quality between the rip offs and his product that he spend $$ developing.

I meant my reply in respect to lloyds work.

Beautiful hand work. Who needs C&C when you have that much talent.

That's what a "Ford" friend of mine said when he saw my LE heads.

Lopoking at a 2-D pic of portwork is not gonna do much for anyone. The people that have learned alot from looking at a pic can probably use the help.

If a person goes through the port and makes a mold of it or measures everything, he now has more ifo to go from. Very subtle changes in venturi diameter, top/bottom cut angles and widths are very key. The shape of the short side and how the corners are radiused are very important to flow too.

You just can't see enough in a pic of ported heads to really "copy" anything. The paople with the ability to copy my work probably have their own ideas on how it should be done.

Rooster,

Your tuning info is easier to copy from looking at the VE tables. It is more "hard data" and a 2D pic of a 3D port will give people alot less to go by.

I'll just say this: At least some people are being mindful towards the work of others.

Nothin' wrong with principle. I consider myself VERY principled. But let's be realistic here. Is that REALLY, the real world/society we live in? Remember, it wouldn't be the first time, we (americans) REelected a dishonest president. Whether we admit it or not, that elected official is a reflection on us, the voters. Edit: Or IOW, we the people.

Fastbird,

I agree more people should have that attitude. The few people that think they have EVERYTHING figured out have no reason to do any more reaearch or ant reason to try and learnb more so they are pretty much sitting idle as the rest of the people with something to learn pass them by.

The more you learn, the more you realize how much there actually is to learn.

I made sure that it was OK with Lloyd when I picked the heads up from him. Nothing wrong with being respectful of other work though. It's good that alot of you guys have that attitude.

cheers to you Lloyd
I spent about ~40hrs porting my stock heads a few years ago. I ended up making 351rwhp/340rwtq with XE230/236 114LSA with a rich 11:1 A/F. I suspect I could have seen 360rwhp/350rwtq with a dyno tune. I ended up burning up 2 Craftsman dremels
