They look awsome, as do the flow numbers. Now I just have to find the $ so I can get some LE2 heads/cam for myself.

The pictures of his heads might be sensitive. I would ask Elliot if its ok to post pictures of them.

Although, what you have doesn't show too much except for the awesome quality of work he has done.

There his heads. What is sensitive about heads. I am amazed at what people come up with. I know Lloyd personally and I would be amazed if he had anything to say about it.

Just make sure that you don't show any pictures of custom ground camshafts! Those heads look really nice, Lloyd does really nice work.

I think what he's trying to point out is the fact that if you post a pic like that and the porter has a specific technique (like teardropping around the valve guide for example) that sets him above the competition, then you have just compromised that.

Those intake ports look really smooth. Almost like what you would expect an exhaust port to look like.

I don't see how if the competition wanted to know, they'd buy a set...

I can understand camshaft specs, but still.

hah, check this out
a genuine LE3 cam

I know you were just joking, but I laid down my LE3 cam next to a cc306 and I cant even tell a difference between the two. I know the differences though
If you could tell the differences between the cams they would have to be EXTREMELY different imo!

Re: Pics of my Lloyd Elliott heads with flow numbers

nah, no problem with showing pics of any of my work.

Hell, I send the pics to people wanting to do their own portwork so they have something to go by.

If anyone wants to copy that, have at it. Most people would MUCH rather pay me as opposed to being covered in aluminum shavings. Michael has seen me covered in metal a few times. The average person wants no part of this kinda work and even if they do not mind that part, surely the time spent grinding on the heads would be better spent doing something else.

at 1st i thought "this is gonna be cool".... after hitting it with a die grinder about 2hours later, i was like "screw this..." LOL
takes a breed too wanna do that stuff by hand and i could only imagine what it would be like hand porting a set of heads

I know what you mean - I do pleanty of chamber and bowl cleanup and re-shaping after a valve job, but anything more time consuming than that I hand off to our porter, mostly because with 30+ years and NASCAR experiance, he knows what he is doing, secondly....WD-40 makes those sharp aluminum shavings hard to dig out.

Those heads look really nice, obviously high quality work, I'm impressed at the flow numbers and how they continue to rise after .550, that's difficult to do with those heads.

Re: Pics of my Lloyd Elliott heads with flow numbers

The chambers being kicked open will help CFM everywhere but you have to determine if the CC's removed are worth the compression loss for each customer. You can obviously mill the heads more or even angle mill to get the compression back but this will cost more and then you need to spend more $$$ making the intake fit. It all comes down to what the customer wants to spend.

Since this was a boosted set up, the bigger chamber worked out well for lower compressions and more flow.

A BIG bowl area, WIDE port over the short side, properly shaped short side and the right valve job will keep the #'s climbing at high lift. These heads had a lil different valve job for the boost and the port is actually shaped so it flows better when blown through. Even though the #'s are similar to my usual heads, a "blow through" test would show them to be better than my "usual" heads.
