Talking Pics of my fresh coated headers!!

Just picked them up tonight. They look great. There is a little pitting down toward the collectors, which could have been grinded smooth prior to coating to be smooth. The headers were on the car 4 years, and rusty. The primaries all came out great! This stuff will last a long time too, no rusting on these like some other coatings

Im gonna post links since the pics are large:

I wish I could resize them. That server is a little slow with these pics. Sorry.

Here they are on webshots too: http://community.webshots.com/album/549181464dgLXbA

SO I take it the cradin coating is MUCH stronger then the Jet Hot coating? I would get the valve covers but not the intake....powder coat that..... I just think it would be too much "shine"

Im thinking of getting the intake and valve covers done in black. Its a heat dispersing coating. Should make the intake air a little cooler. A lot of the local racers use it. I think it might make the engine look ugly though, especially with shiny headers The other thing I can do is get the black coating on the bottom of them, and shiny on the outside. Dont know how well that would work to keep them cool though, when the outter coating will hold in heat.

Yes, the cradin coating beats the hell out of jet hot. I watched this guy heat up a piece of thin metal with a torch, till it was glowing red for several seconds. When it cooled it was a little discolored. He put a drop of polish on it, and a couple rubs with steel wool, and it was like new! We then bent the hell out of it, back and forth. Then we looked at it under a microscope. No cracking at all. It was like new still! This stuff wont rust or corrode

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think this is more of a subjective opinion so far unless you've done the same tests with a jet hot coating

Ive seen local cars that have had this coating for along time. It still looks great. I see people all the time with jet hots that are pitted and rusty

Re: Pics of my fresh coated headers!!

I have to constantly keep my jet hots clean they start to build up a light amount of rust on the bottom, & are fadeing in the middle. Only a year old on the coating.

It would be interesting to see which headers work the best at keeping the heat in....

Simply put Jet Hot is not worth it! Waste of money. Mine look like COMPLETE JUNK in only 700 MILES OVER 1.5 YEARS.
