Pics of comps new 918's

Just figured I would share these incase anyone was interested. I'
m not running them on my car since my heads came with pac 1220's but they look like a decent upgrade from the old 918's.

So what is the upgrade? They don't have a blue stripe? I'm not seeing a difference.

Did they fix the breaking problem that I seen MANY other people having? That is the only reason I haven't done my cam swap yet, no springs yet. I was planning on buying some of these but seen all kinds of people having problems. I just put it on hold.

I have some friends that work at comp. I was told they paid for a lot of peoples motors that had failed springs. They recalled and scrapped all of the old style. IMO, it would be safe to buy a set. Seems like they went out of thier way to make this right with thier customers.

The upgrade is hopefully the wont break like my older 918's did. I broke three springs in 20 miles on a brand new motor. The older batches were all defective due to going cheap and many people blew their motors.

The flat faces of the springs in the photos are definitely smoother and better looking than the defective blue stripe springs. I would say definitely a different manufacturer for these new ones.

Avoid blue stripe bee hives like the plaque.

I thought not, but I may be wrong here. These new ones resemble the PAC at least what I can tell from the pics.

These are different than my pac 1518's. Someone posted a pic of these next to the old 918's and they are also shorter from the increased spring rate.
