Pics Of Clearancing For Double Roller

Hey Guys Ive got a 1997 Z28 and Im in the middle of a cam swap.

Well Ive been told that to switch to a Cloyes Double Roller You have to do some clearan cing on the timing cover. Anyone got any pics of the clearancing they did?

Thanks

Not sure on the LT1 motor. However I used a 1999 Vortex block for my build up and I had to clear a boss on the block at the top of chain at the 12 o'clock position. The chained rubbed on it and the boss had to be ground down for clearance.

The clearanced area is right around the outside of the raised area - that's where I took the raised boss down with a grinder. You can see where the chain is hitting the clay.
