I hear from people all the time, that you can do this and have talked to people that have done this but... If It was up to you would and you had your engine out of the car putting in the Hot Cam and port and polishing you heads and intake would you for the sound put in a pete jackson gear drive or keep it stock? Yes or No, If it was an easy switch would you do it???

I would go with ED LT4 timing set from Jason for $205. There would be no major mods and everything would bolt up.

Go with the Cloyes True double roller $80 and get the CSI electric water pump. To me that is the only way to go. Gear drive would be cool, but as others have mentioned in the past knock sensors or more prone to give false knock with the extra noise from a gear driven timing set and that is something I would not want to mess with. Just my $.02.
