Pesky Oil Leak

I have an RPM dependent oil leak somewhere on the front of my motor. at WOT it gets oil on the serpentine and slings it about the engine bay...not much, but enough to be annoying as ****. WOT aggravates this problem VERY badly. I'm thinking timing chain cover but could it be oil pan? I'm doing poly motor mounts this weekend and I'm going to replace the pan gasket as well as valve cover gaskets, hopefully this will solve it. If not...well I guess I gotta pull the opti.

Re: Pesky Oil Leak

I would guess that its coming from the opti seal in timing chain cover if its oil. My car once leaked at the opti seal and front of the engine was nasty. I just don't see how oil could sling from a oil pan leak.

Re: Pesky Oil Leak

check the water pump drive seal. mine went out after changing the w/p. after i noticed the seal was bad i replaced it. that seal is some what stubborn to get in right, and like bowtiethunder said the opti seal could be the culprit too.
