Permatex thread sealant & assembly lube for bolts - head install..
Instead of messing with ordering the ARP stuff, can I just use the permatex thread sealant that I can get locally?
Also, any moly lube will be good enough to slide under the head bolts correct? I'd rather not pay $17 for a tub of ARP stuff.. but I will if I have to.
Last ?, I don't recall using this in any other installs, but do the intake manifold bolts take any thread sealant?

Yeap I agree, when I did my one cyl head a few years ago I got a big tube of BLACK RTV from Permatex. I used it for all Head bolts and intake bolts.
Re: Permatex thread sealant & assembly lube for bolts - head install..
Make sure to get permatex #2 ,the non-hardening pliable sealant......never use RTV gasketmaker, the common kind for the intake end rails that turns into rubbery silicone.....on bolt threads, this can cause torque differences as well as being a nightmare to tap and clean the threads in the future......all, but the 4 corner LT-1 intake bolts are exposed to oil and need the permatex #2 sealant, many coat all of them, but it's not nesessary.........

Yes.
Moly is Fine.
Yes.
With regards for using RTV. It is a NIGHTMARE to clean up if you get it in threads. Permatex non hardening sealant works fine and is super easy to clean relative to RTV.
Edit - I've used both types of those permatex sealants (#2 and the one javier posted) with no adverse effects. I prefer the one he posted actually.

i used the hardening sealant for the rocker studs (since they will never need to come out) and im going to use the black sealant for the heads and intake.
