Perimeter bolt valve cover conversion

Somewhere in looking at head porting services I found one that will do a perimeter valve cover conversion as well. Has anyone else run across this? Who are some porters other than Lloyd Elliott as I don't see it on his site.

I saw some heads on Advanced Inductions website that had them so maybe that's what I saw the first time. I emailed them to see if they will do just that service.

You can also buy an adapter plate that will do the conversion. Or like my AFR heads which go both ways (center-bolt, or old-style SBC 4-bolts).

The conversion plates usually are not that good. They will also limit spring and rocker are choices. you can not use a big spring with a conversion plate.

Converting the heads really isnt a big deal. Just need to add a little metal where the bolt hole are. Mill it flat, drill and tap the hole and bolt on a set of perimiter covers. Any head porter should be able to do it, or any fabrication/welding machine shop can do it with ease.

I never checked on a set of stock LT-1 heads, but on these set of Trickflow heads, I was able to just drill and tap them for this set of perimeter valve covers:
