Performance problems

Hey you guys...I just got back from a local dragstrip and I'm very very dissapointed. Last year when I ran on this track I was hitting 9.2's (8th mile) at around 77 mph. That was with just a K&N and an exhaust. I put some MAC headers in, changed spark plug wires, new plugs (the only thing that needs to be changed is the optispark) and I was hoping to break into 8's...but no...I couldn't even hit flat 9's...I kept on getting 9.4's. The car runs fine, it seems a lot faster than last year, but I don't know what was wrong. Maybe it was the track? I ran against new mustang gt's and they were getting like 10 to 11 seconds in the 8th mile. I saw a trans am (LS1) run a 9.6...so I don't know, but it's very frustrating because I feel that I put my money and time towards nothing...any help? (by the way my launches were just about perfect and I was whipping out .5 reaction times)

The weather

When I went last year it was actually a little hotter than today...but I don't know...I definitely should have ran faster this time...

how was your traction?

60' times?

make sure all the plug wires are in good shape...could have a small problem with something. maybe coil wire?

how bout false knock being detected due to the headers? maybe the ecm is pulling timing.

60' times were around 2.1-2.2...Traction was okay, it wasn't the best, but it was okay...False knock? How could I fix that?

Try an LT4 Knock Module if you have knock from the headers.
