I still say it will take some rpms to make your power. I'm not really a person that likes to have to turn the engine to 7000rpms to shift.
I had the 210 heads on a 360. Part throttle, low end, and driveability were fine.

Peak power came at 5,800 and I shifted at 6,200 rpm. Not exactly 7000 rpm, huh?

A 210 head is not as big as you think.

They will be a Brodix head.
Yes i will be using the stock LT1 shortblock. Reason why = $. I dont have the money to redo the shortblock to what i'd like, and if i did redo the bottom end id use custom pistons and use completely difrent heads like 18* or canted valve, etc. So the snowball effect is rediculous and i have to draw the line somewhere

Arn't the Brodix -10s 18* heads?

I guess what should be asked is, does anyone have any track times with these big headed, daily driven, stock bottoms engines? As dyno #s are just that, but track times are what matter.

My point about the ported heads verse the AFR 210s is this: IF you have two heads that flow close to each other, the smaller head should, in theory, make more power bcuz of better port velocity. This is why I say go with the ported stockers. Even on a big engine like 383/396 they should make 430rwhp with atleast 400rwtq with a good cam.

Brodix -10s are 23 degree heads. No track times yet, not even a dyno chart. I'm just having fun driving the thing...
