Replaced PCV valve and man..... fixed every problem I had it seemed. I was throwing 2 codes, 44 and 64 before this was replaced or even looked at.. did everything i could and could not find what the problem was! Found out there was no PCV valve so I got the material, hooked that booger up and BAM,..... no codes and no idle problems..woooohoooo to me

just wanted to share that.... i would of never guessed it would of been something so simple!!

I replaced mine on both my firebird and toy tercel (work car) and the tercel's gas mileage went back up to about 37 from 31-32.
My formula stayed about the same though, 19-23

I don't have any problems, but I'm dying to change my PCV Valve since my car has 90k on it and I'm sure it's still the original one.

But I also have traction control, and the PCV is buried underneath this unit!

How on earth am I supposed to change the PCV on this car?

Yes, if it rattles it's good. If it doesn't that means the little ball in there is stuck in it's position (open or closed).

all i had on mine was the rubber groument on the intake. i did not actual hose nor the PCV valve itself. i did have the connector in the front of the intake, but nothing going into it.. had a vacuum leak there.... patman, isnt your PCV right off the intake?

Big fat vacuum leak will do it everytime! Makes the car run like crap...

Yes, but it's still under the TC unit. Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing.

Can anyone with traction control explain it better?

Funny,
I just went to change my PCV valve, and not only did pep boys have the wrong part listed, but the PCV i pulled out of my car had nothing inside it, I could see through both ends of it???

Is there a special Purolator part # for the correct PCV for the LT1? The one I bought was chrome instead of plastic, was straight up and down instead of L shaped, and had a smaller size fitting for the vacuum hose. The part I purchased was Purolator Part # PV895, it was listed for a 94 5.7L Camaro.
