I am 90% sure I am going to buy it. It is a '95 (I am pretty sure this is a good year w/ vented opti and OD1 right?) z28 black hardtop automatic. The water pump went out taking the opti with it and it overheated. After a new water pump and opti, it started right up but blew a head gasket. I assume that the overheating warped one or both heads. The car has ~130000 miles on it. It has new tires and fuel pump and the interior is perfect and the exterior is very good (only a few minor scratches and dings). I can buy it for $2000. The bad thing is that the motor is partially tore down (heads, intake, exhaust manifolds radiator, etc. are out) I would have rather tore it down myself making it easier to know how it goes back together. Also coolant is in the crankcase and I don't know how long it has sat. I think this looks like a great car to start my project on, what do you think? I think the car would be worth that money even if it was only a rolling chassis. I am wanting to do a forged 355 (maybe 383 if I need a new crank) making about 375 rwhp and then spray a 200 shot on it. Obviously I know I need to address the tranny and rear end as well. Sorry so long. I have learned a lot here and I'm sure I will learn more. BTW I am coming from the LS1 world to the LT1 world .
