But I had to have to car running today, so I could get back to school. Monday wasn't an option.

It working, I'm affraid to program it now....

You'll have to program it anyway so that you have the correct program in it unless it was from the same year F-body with the same transmission.

You can choose to have your PCM socketed so that in case something like this happens again, you could just swap chips and go. There's pictures on my website (click order form) of how the sockets look like...

They got a PCM from an M6 car, send me a PM with a number I can get a hold of you at, I would to talk to you about some of my options....

Yep, that will work and you won't have to reprogram it if you don't want to.

The dealer can reload the programming. It think they charge $100 or so.
At least they can do it on a 00 LS1. A friends Laptop died while loading a program and pcm stopped working. I told him to take the pcm to the dealer and they can re-flash the core programming. took the PCM there the next day and they fixed it for him.
