PCMFORLESS tuning... NEED HELP ASAP... FANS ARE STAYING ON
I just got my car back from the shop and I just started to program it and I did a read first so I could have a back up. then I started to do the programing and it didn't work and the fans kept runing, if I turned off the ignition and turn it back to on they still stay on. i have the battery disconnected right now in hopes to reset it....
Sorry to hear about your problem.
If it interrupted during programming, then the PCM is dead and will have to be fixed before programming again.
You'll know for sure when you try to start the car after the battery has been disconnected.
I fix them in case it turns out to be dead and you need it fixed...

If it is not working after you attempt to restart the car, then you would have to pull the chips from the PCM boards, reprogram them with an EPROM programmer and resolder them back on the board. Not something you can do yourself if you don't have the tools and at least average soldering experience.
I fix them for $40 + return shipping. I can return it back to you even the same day if need be.
I also have a spare PCM I can send you even tomorrow. There's a refundable core charge associated with this service. Check my website for more details or email me directly...

just gonna agree with madwolf here - if you venture into the 'Computer Diagnostics/Programming' forum you'll see a lot of guys have this problem. Mine took a crap when, like a newbie, I tried to use the TunerCat flash prog to upload the .LT1 file Bryan@pcmforless sent me...oops!

"Hey, I just blew up my pcm, can I borrow yours?

Not being mean or anything and sorry, I don't have a solution for ya. It just struck me in a funny way.
yeah if anything goes wrong during programming your screwed. Hell Hypertech agreed to buy a friend of mine a computer cuz they thought it was their fault. He had the same thing happen to him when the battery went dead during programming

Can I buy a used one from a recycling yard and program it myself or will I have a VIN number problem? I was thinking of doing that while I wait for the my PCM to be repaired the returning the other PCM to the yard....
Hmm... if I would've sent you the extra PCM Priority Mail today (~$15 for shipping) you would have received it Monday. $100 for core charge, $40 for repair and $15 for shipping is $155, then you would've received $90 back as soon as your PCM got here.
My point is, I think $150+tax is a little much when you could've had a working one on Monday for $65 total.
