Pcm4less

I was just wondering if when you get pcm4less tuning if your computer could be programmed to do without o2 sensors....and if so how does the car run?

U can run without O2 sensors, but ur going to stay in closed loop the whole time.

I don't think programming will be worthwhile in anyway if ur having ur yanking ur O2s. It's gonna freak out ur PCM.

Can they take a PCM from a V6 and program it for a V8?

I'm pretty sure here is no possible way that would work.

You will stay in open loop actually, which means you better do wideband tuning.

To confirm the statement above, you CAN NOT program a v6 pcm to work with your car.

Some PCMs are useable for 4/6/8, like the Typhoon, but I would imagine the Camaro stuff isn't. Just look for the appropriate PN V8 PCM and buy one.

A lot of OBDII people (96-97) get their rear two O2's programmed out, they just monitor if your cats are working or not. The front two are the important ones that control your A/F ratio and effect engine function.

You can run without 02 sensors...but it isn't an ideal set-up. Lots of folks run speed density with a good sized blower. The reason for this is the MAF just can't keep up with all the air flow. GM shipped the Impala SS (export) with no cats or 02 sensors to places like Saudi. Not an ideal setup to run on the street and it takes some serious messing around with the PCM.

spend the 40 bucks and go on ebay to get the o2 simms. then you will not need custom programming.
