Re: pcm trouble

Tools you will need: 10mm and 8mm(I think) socket, extension, ratchet and standard screwdriver.

Use the 10mm socket on the 2 screws holding down the PCM. Pull it out from behind the shock tower and pop out the 4 red clips(dont worry if you lose one). Then just pull the 4 harness plugs off the PCM and its free... the screwdriver will help out a little on that step. Next youll need to reuse the black pastic case/bracket and I think the size of those screws are 7 or 8mm. Now when reinstalling the harness they are referenced by color so you cant mix them up and then just reverse the steps.

Re: pcm trouble

Plug it in, bolt it in, and thats it. Theres nothing to listen or feel for. When I got my tune from madz28.com, I didn't drive it slow. I beat the hell out of it for a couple days.

Re: pcm trouble

Who adjusted your PCM, you never mentioned that? When I first installed my tuned PCM, it did a little hiccup where the idle dropped down around 800rpm and it felt like it was almost going to die at a stoplight. After that, nothing like that has occured. I remember the tuner said that it does take a little while for the PCM to adjust itself.

Re: pcm trouble

Drive it, let it go through its cycles... If you feel there is still a problem and it persists, then you should contact the company that tuned it.

Re: pcm trouble

I couldn't really tell the difference to tell you the truth. I just know that the tuned PCM made a night/day difference when installed and I felt it the first time driving it.
