Pcm?

What is a PCM? from what i gather it is a controller you hook up to your computer and it somehow lets you reset the computer dimensions. Is this anywhere close to right? Thanks, Nick
p.s.
where can i get one?

Powertrain Control Module. It's the computer in your car. The 93 Camaros were an ECM (Engine Control Module)

There is an ALDL connector right by the accelerator pedal that a scan or tuning device plugs into so you can make changes to the computer using LT1 Edit or some other software.

You guys are being so nice..... I guess you all took your nice pills today

I would say in your situation, it wouldn't be "advised" that you mess with your PCM. Start small and then go big. Start with exhaust and intake, then move to headers (reprogram) then heads and cams (reprogram), then maybe to suspension and stuff. But thats comes much later. Just stick to the basics, surf the site and become much more informative of your car before digging in

well i was going to star small, but i have a Moroso intake on it now and the exhaust is from an 82 it's 2.5 (no cats) all the way my only fault in it is the Y pipe setup, which i am going to change to a true duel when i get the money and get some long tube headers...RIGHT NOW though i have a carrier housing going out in the *** end so i posted on the board and got THIS in an answer. So i intend to buy this within a week or so here and have it on within about 2-3. Then i hope to go Cam and Other such cool things. Please keep me informed of where i might wanna go with this thing in the mean time.
My Goal is to hit the 400RWHP mark and get into the 12's. other then that i am not sure what i would liek to do, cept crush some more ricers!
