Passing info on my last Logged WOT run
Hey guys something interesting I noticed.
I did one of those 0 to 70mph WOT run. I had to start it slow because of all the dirt/loose tiny rocks on the Pavement I didnt want to spin.
What I found out is that at the precise moment that I clocked a 5* degree of knock retard was at the switch over point to enrichment mode. (I think thats whats called). I got a knock count and the corresponding knock retard at that precise moment... just once. Then the car ran clean all the way up. No hesitation no drama just a clean rush.
Just about everything switched over in the PCM at that one moment... the EGR went from 74% to 0%,,, etc etc etc etc.. but there was one thing that happend about a half second later... The injector pulse went up to its highest of 19.30 ms at 2300 RPMs... Remember I said everything changed at that moment... the CCP duty cycle went from 3.9% to 7.8% too.
Now this is what I am thinking... The injectors pulse was going up in synch with the rest of the readings... yet at the "knock count moment" the Injectors pulse ketp rising while the acceleration was diminished by the knock retard...I can clearly see the slowdown of vehicle acceleration speed and RPMS, yet the duty cycle kept rising... I realised the 19.30 ms pulse was the highest of the whole run... eve at 5300 rpms it was at 17.00 ms only.
Guys correct me if I am wrong but doesnt this look like Fuel Starvation at that point of the WOT run? and to be more confusing the car recovered and kept going Full Throttle without any drama all the way up. Have I discovered something you guys knew all about before or is this something we could linger on?
What do you guys make of it?
