Passenger side plug removal

I just changed out the plugs on my driver side with little hassel. What is the easiest way to remove and change the passenger side plugs?

There is no easy way. The driver side is much easier then the passenger side. I'm pretty sure you can do the first three from the top, but the last one in the back on the passenger side is a **** and you get it from the bottom. There is just alot less room altogether.

1) Have very skinny arms, it really helps ! 2) Get a a long ratchet and a short ratchet, it really helps to have both. 3) Make sure you have a manuverable socket to work with wierd angles.

I recomend you take the alternator off to reach the first plug (first being closest to front of car and 4th being plug nearest firewall). I would approach the first plug with a standard 5/8 spark plug socket and long and lanky ratchet. Pull the first two plugs from over the engine while doing the 3rd and 4rth from the bottom. The Thrid plug is possible from the top but you working kinda blind from there so i recomend the bottom. The first and 4th plugs are a major pain but they are deff. possible so just dont give up. Finally, its allot easier to access the 4th plug if you PULL the o2 sensor thats in the way. I worked around it due to lack of tools but its 10 times faster when pulled. Also, the trick to gettin you arm up to the plugs from the bottom of the car is working through a small hole near the Y PIPE! Good Luck

the easiest way Ive found is to use your spark plug socket and a 3/4 combination wrench on it. And being flexible at the wrist helps.

I've got a special socket that I found at sears. It's called the O-socket or something like that - it's not a Craftsmen tool. Anyways the socket has a hole in the ratchet so the tip of the plug actually sticks through the socket and out of the hole in the ratched head. What this means is that it requires very little clearance.

At any rate I drive my car up on some ramps and remove the alternator and starter. I can then get that last plug very easily - especially with the tool I talked about. I have Hooker LTs which certainly makes it easier but it is quite amazing how much more room you get if you remove the starter.

Are you having trouble with the wire to opti or wire to coil connection?
I have headers on my car and I was having to change/clean plugs alot when my computer was messed up.

look in the boot and make sure the connector is lined up exactly. If it is try a sparkplug (if it will fit it and see if it is too loose or tight) hope this will help you find out. On my msd wires that I got I had to push the wire/connection out of the boot a little to get it to click on my opti.

I guess I'm just weird but the last three on the pass. side are cake from the top for me. Unfortunately the one under the alternator takes me about as long to change as the other 7. Stupid smog tubes. Thats what shorty headers were really invented for, my plug changes with my old JBA's took half the time and were all done from the bottom. Now I'm slower and i have to waste more time, damn.
