Passenger Side Motor Mount Ground

There was a stud on my passenger side motor mount where it mounts to the engine block that held a HEAVY gauge wire, that I'm assuming is a ground wire. It goes directly into the engine harness, and I looked at shoebox's layout of the 1995 engine harness, and didn't see it in THAT harness. Is this a 1994 specific thing, can I just do away with the ground (the nut on the stud was frozen, I had to cut the ground wire to get it off), or are the coil grounds insufficient? Any insight is appreciated

EDIT: Looks like it's the battery cable ground. Guess that's important, and I need to recrimp it and reground it? Can I stick it somewhere other then the motor?

you pretty much need it going to the motor(it is the starter ground), anywhere on the motor will work though, block is best

The stud looks like #12555065. The nut isn't listed.

Probably going to have to do just that unfortunately. Hard to find studs, may just go with a bolt, and ground to the bolt instead of a stud.

Stud GM PART # 12555065
Nut-book shows GM PART # 14057004, but I don't see a listing at GMPD. 3/8-16 nut you can get somewhere else.

maybe put a couple small washers between the ground and the block, if using a bolt

Excellent. I'll just pick up a nut and order that stud. I've got a few other misc. bolts to order while I'm at it, thanks
