Im ordering my long tubes this week. I jsut checked www.redlineperformanceengineering.com and it says that their headers come with all gaskets and hardware. How is the gasket quality? As well as the bolts for securing the headers ?

Also, if anyone feels like giving some tips on the install with them, feel free.

the gaskets are crap, even looks low quality, i ordered some felpros from summit, and arp bolts better safe than sorry!

 

Pacesetters knows that to offer a quality HEADER at such a low price they must somehow cut corners with HARDWARE...

The gaskets look like junk, so i ordered fel pros from thunderracing.com for $20, highly recommended.

Second, their bolts they include just did not seem to work right for me. I was going from Edelbrock shorties to these LTs, so I just reused the bolts from the shorties. Way easier.

Installation? Was an absolute breeze if you do 3 things.
1) Remove alternator
2) Remove valve covers
3) Remove steering linkage

Oh and of course plugs and wires!

The above suggestions are merely to assist in install and may not even be needed, I just did it because none of the 3 require more than 10 minutes to do!

Because they use a slip fit desing there is no need to notch a K-member or anything crazy like that (i.e.-Hooker install)
