Passed emissions in MA

I didn't think I'd pass without paying a little extra, but since I had my car in the shop for a new tie rod I had him inspect my car and he didn't say anything about not having cats, air or egr! just scanned it and passed my baby.

Wow congrats, certainly a rarity. My friend HAS cats, but no egr or air, been failing for about 8 months now. NJ and CA are crazy...

I had my fingers crossed most of the day while it was in the shop. I was spending the day with my fiance and while she was talking to me I was thinking about how my car was gonna fail, and how much money I'm going to spend to get it to pass.
Now the 600 I have saved is going towards the Delteq

I live in Cali.....we watch smog technicians use magnifine glasses and start from one section of the car and work they way back....and thats right before he puts his lubed latex glove on wiggling his fingers with that weird look on his face while starring at my car...

Yeah NJ sucks when it comes to emissions, especially when some jerk gets to inspect your vehicle! He got in and complimented me on how the car sounded (I still had a cat then) he does his thing and gets it on the rollers and gets the rpms up and im watchin as he stomps on it and damn near threw it out of them. He gets done and with a HUGE grin on his face says to me "Nice car, sounds good too!....oh by the way..YOU FAIL!" i failed for my damn gas cap I went down the street bought a fuel cap went back 3 minutes later and passed. And returned the gas cap and told the store it was the wrong one Ill be damned if I let NJ hold me back of makin the Z go faster!

Re: Passed emissions in MA

Aint it the truth... Back when I had my supra they thought it'd be hilarious to tach that thing off the limiter on the dyno. I walk out to my car ready to shoot them on sight, and the kid that was driving it mysteriously disappeared. The lady told me I failed for noise. I was like well of course it's loud at 6500. She's like sorry nothing I can do about it have a nice day. I was more pissed at the jerk off that abused my car and stalled FIVE TIMES. What a ****ing joke inspection is.
