I just passed my IL emissions test with my cc503 cam and 1.6rr. All i did was put on a brand new magnaflow universal cat. Just FYI for any IL residents.

 

Congrats... I had similar excitement when I passed IL emissions last summer with long tubes.

 

Well consider yourself lucky, I just failed with that same cat and 846 cam. It was real close though. How clean was your car and what are your states' standards?

 

I passed with .487ppm on HC and the standard was .488ppm so it was close, but i still got the 114 fast pass.

 

Reminds me of my pass with LTs and no cats - especially when I saw the guys running it were older and I figured they could smell pollutants a mile away....I was the last one for the day, so maybe they just didn't care > : - >

2000GTP - why were you surprised you passed? or was this a non-OBDII? or no emissions hookups? just curious.....

 

Man, I thought Maryland was strict, out standard for HC is .9. I had a 1.2
