Parts list for fixing a blown headgasket?

Pulling the heads on my friend's '97 Z28 and I was just wondering if anyone can give me a parts list of what exactly we'll need to pull both heads and get it all back together?

Thanks
Matt

You're also going to need head bolts.

Here's a good write-up, it includes a cam swap that you're not doing, but a good read as to what to expect.

Why didn't you just ask me fgt, I'm only an IM away :P

Head gaskets, intake gaskets, bolts, coolant, oil.

Change the oil and filter after about 20 minutes of use - this is important so that metal contaminents and the lube that was used doesn’t damage the engine. Change your oil again after a couple hundred miles. After that, it is safe to use synthetic.
LMAO!!!

allow me to be more specific

That's all fine, but then:
Change your oil again after a couple hundred miles. After that, it is safe to use synthetic.
It just always makes me giggle when people do write ups for cam swaps and include statements on how the cam must be "broken in" on an already broken in engine by using regular oil for starters and then after certain said miles are achieved, it being "safe" to use synthetic.

No need to break the cam in, it's hydraulic roller. Just do 1 oil change to get rid of assembly lube.

It'll tell you what, be prepared to replace the coolant line that's in the back of the heads, if you can't get it off.

To possibly avoid this, take all of the head bolts out of both heads and have your buddy lift off the other side at the same time you lift yours. That way, you can leave that line attached and work on getting it off with the heads outside of the car. I don't know if you want to replace both head gaskets, but I would imagine you might as well if you have it tore down that far.
