part-throttle hesitation

if im cruising around the neighbor hood at slow speeds accelerating at light throttle, the car will hesitate until it gets to the next gear, shoot forward when the gear changes and begin to hesitate again. once i'm above like 30mph it goes away, and only does it in 1st and 2nd gear. any ideas? plugs/wires were just changed about 6 or 7 months ago

Probably EGR, you can do a few things to check it. One is push the diaphragm by hand and feel it if is rough. Maybe sticking. You can pull it off and clean it. That usually helps. See if it is sticking while it's off. The valve it self could be leaking. You can also try disconnecting the vac line and plugging it and see how it runs. More than likely this will fix your problem.

I had the same problem for about a year now, bought a scanmaster to monitor the situation, now it wont act up. Guess it fixed itself, but one thing that seemed to help was cleaning the MAP sensor with carb cleaner.
