Ok on the solid black pastic pice of the air intake that is right above the ABS system. there is a small pipe sticking out on the bottom side of it about 1 inch long 1/2 inch around...what hooks up to this? I thought maybe the hose from the air pump but it faces the other way? anyone got a pic?

 

The only thing I know of is the feed for the AIR pump. Where is your AIR pump getting it's air?

If that tube on the intake ducitng is wide open, you are pulling dirty air into your engine.

I just saw it today when i was cleaning my air filter.

its on the solid black plastic part of the intake right befor the MAS.

The air pump hose was the only thing around that i saw.
I guess that just sits there. but what would go in that hole?

 

No.... the AIR pump takes air from the inlet duct, using a hole on the back of the solid plastic duct, between the filter and the MAF. It's a 5/8" connection.
