Part numer for stock lifters?
Part numer for stock lifters?
I'm putting together an order of gaskets and misc things on GMpartsdirect to put my motor back together and I need a pair of stock roller lifters for my 97. I got the part number from Shoebox's site (17120735) and I'm trying to order but it tells me that pn# is a package of 8 (at just over $250) I get the same thing when I try the pn# for 93-95's (5234890). Does GMpartsdirect only sell these in sets of 8 now or is there another pn# for them individually?
Re: Part numer for stock lifters?
Those are the individual part numbers. You can see that the price is per lifter. If GMPD only sells them in packs of 8, then that is their business.
Did you look at lifter kit 12371042 on my site? It is cheaper and includes a set of the 17120735 lifters.

Re: Part number for stock lifters?
Yeah, I did see the part number for the complete lifter set, I just needed 2 though. Their pricing on these doesnt make much sense. A set of 8 lifters costs $258.44 (with s&h). But the complete lifter kit costs $230.57? I guess I'll try ordering them at a dealer or a parts place if thats how their going to sell them. Thanks for clarifying this, and your parts number listing is a fantastic resource, keep up the good work.

Look at this link. It's got info from Scoggin-Dickey. Looks like these lifters can be used in the LT1.

Re: Part numer for stock lifters?
I know LS1/LS6 lifters will work in the LT1. I'm not sure about LS2/7. What about these?
