Re: how did you build your LTCC brackets?

Might want to try a "search"..... there have been a few posts on mounting the coils. I know I've posted pics of mine, supported off threaded rods right behind the bottom of the radiator (its not an LTCC, but I use the 8 LS1 coils with another system).

EDIT: Searched on "LTCC coils", got a lot of hits:

Re: how did you build your LTCC brackets?

I used 2 different widths of aluminum stock and some 1/4 bolts and a length of aluminum tubing just to dress up the threads on the bolts. On my brackets you can adjust the position and angle of each coil individually. I got everything I needed at my local ACE Hardware store. I'm currently making some custom valve covers with mounting tabs welded onto them to make it easier to remove the coil assemblies. I'll take some close up pictures of the brackets in a few minutes to give you a better idea of what I did.

that would be real cool of ya man... ithink the brackets are my biggest concern. because the kit i can get for 400 and the coils max 160 so thats 560 and i can make my own brackets, then all i need are the wires

i will be lookin forward to see your post.

BTW nice motor man... thats a work of art!

PM me your e-mail address, it would be a lot easier for me to just e-mail them to you than to find a host, then upload, then post here. I just took the pics so as soon as I have your e-mail I'll send em. Thanks for the compliments BTW.

The trial and error phase took a couple of days, tried a few different ides, once I finally got down to this version it only took3 or 4 hours.
