Part Number question

How can the left and right side window motors have the same part number. Isn't one backwards of the other?

Yes, they are the same. It has multiple mounting holes and just flipped over to fit the other side.

Ok, shoebox, this brings another question. I used your tech guide to show me how to remove the motor, but when i go to put the new one in....will the bolts be going into the same 1/2 inch circles that i will drill out of the panel? Because if they don't then I don't see how to get to the bolts...
Thanks Mr. Wise

The bolts should go in the same place where the rivets came out. The doors should be mirror images of each other. I know the guide shows the driver's side door, but no one has ever told me they had a problem when doing the passenger side.

Do you think this would be a wise investment since I am strapped for cash now? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33706 its $68 from gmpartsdirect but they have it for 20....or is it not worth it?
Thanks

autozone = 50 bucks, lifetime warranty. it sucks replacing it but it sucks even more paying more money when it goes out again, which it WILL no matter what brand you get. if you have the car long enough.

They say up front that it is not a high quality motor. I would have trouble rationalizing that as a "wise investment".
